The most telling result?

"Although 86% of renters in California hold onto the hope of being homeowners someday, only 18% believe it is very likely and 49% somewhat likely that they will find a home they can afford."

Kansas City looks good some days.

Now I'm depressed.

Streaming Media

So, as I am forced to use a Mac at work, streaming media doesn't always work as well as it could, especially when Windows Media Player is the conduit.

Case in point - today, MTV and VH1 both started streaming U2's new album. Huzzah! I think, and head on over there to stream to my heart's content. However, I kept getting an error. So, I switched to Safari (the bane of my existence) to see if that would help. I got through the first two songs and it pooted out again and now it won't work at all. Maybe it's a technical issue, and not a problem on my end.

Regardless, Macs are teh suck.

So I voted for the first time today. Hooray for the democratic process.

Halloween 2004

So, I think it was another successful party - one passed out, one had to go home in a cab. It doesn't get any better than that. Even if the pinata didn't make an appearance. I'll save that for the party when I invite everyone I HATE. And while we didn't have a houseful, everyone that was there was fun and we met some new people, too.

I often think that I'll never have another party, especially since I don't really like people all that much. But I do have a good time and everyone likes the spinach artichoke dip so I'm satisfied.
